Never ones to miss an opportunity to roam the globe gathering inspiration for our clients, Shea and Martin joined the Design Leadership Network for their recent summit in Jerusalem. From historical sites to modern architecture and ancient art to innovative food, our principals were truly awed by their experience.

One of our favorite projects is featured on the front cover of Luxe magazine! Home to an active family of six, it demonstrates Soucie Horner’s dedication to luxurious beauty even when young kids and muddy paws are in residence.
Just in time for outdoor dining and relaxation, 1st Dibs included Soucie Horner’s work – and Martin’s thoughts – to showcase the ability of beautifully designed pergolas to shade, cocoon, and soften under-the-sky spaces.
Coming to Fruition
No recap of our summer activities would be complete without a shoutout to our growing teams, who’ve been busy installing exciting new projects the past few months. From New York to Michigan to Florida and points in between, it’s been a time of anticipation and satisfaction bringing years of planning, scheming, and creativity to life.
“Modeling” Design Creativity Focused on Developers’ Needs
For a glimpse into the way we partner with our commercial clients, look no further than the model unit we recently installed at the Tribune Tower Residences. It provides potent lessons on the importance of understanding developers’ goals and employing our two decades’ worth of luxury residential design experience to achieve them. We utilized the same process to equally beautiful effect in a nearby luxury residential condominium tower. And we did it all with stakeholders’ ROI in mind.
Collaboration Between Our Own Business Divisions
SH Studio and SHIIR Rugs recently teamed up to attend HD Expo, a hospitality industry trade show showcasing beautifully functional furnishings for commercial projects. Together, our representatives were able to highlight Soucie Horner’s commercial
capabilities – and the highly customizable products we’re able to create.
India Beckons, Again
Along with her trip to Jerusalem, Shea also traveled recently to India and Nepal in search of new suppliers, materials, techniques, and inspiration to fuel her imagination for future SHIIR rug designs – and to collaborate with the master artisans who handcraft our rugs.
