Colorful Outdoor Patio Featuring Orange Pillows and Sitting Areas with Umbrellas

Outside Retreats

Whether we’re designing indoor spaces or outside retreats, our process is the same: it’s all about our clients – what they value, how they aspire to live, and how we can take them on a journey of design discovery to help them answer those questions.

Regardless of their responses, our clients know we will provide the same care, creativity, and keen attention to detail to the designs we create for the outdoor areas they crave as to the indoor rooms they live in.

Looking for an intimate refuge from city noise and activity? A party-ready terrace able to welcome crowds at a moment’s notice? How about a soothing outdoor environment featuring comfortable seating, water features, and an oasis of landscaping to give your employees a refreshing break from their desk-centric work environment?

Large or small, public or private, residential or commercial, we know how to deliver on your outdoor design goals with highly personalized results geared to your unique wants and needs. That’s why no two of our outdoor projects are alike. Sure, they share commonalities our work is known for: they’re timeless, gracious, beautifully functional designs achieved through a process that prioritizes trust. Beyond that, they’re individualized. Exciting. And of course, livable, whether those outdoor spaces are used repeatedly throughout the day, once a week, by large numbers of people looking to congregate, or by one person seeking nothing more than sunshine and solitude.

We’ll create gorgeous outdoor kitchens in which you can wow your guests and while away summer nights. Cozy upholstered places to sit where skyline views can be admired and children can play hopscotch.

Lounges just steps from swimming pools, and spa-like retreats where fountains burble. Or large-scale spaces designed for dining, collaboration, mental health rejuvenation, private phone calls, and the myriad other reasons office workers gravitate toward fresh air.

Senior Designer

Eitan spent six years designing for New York City hospitality firms before moving to Chicago and joining Soucie Horner. Perhaps that’s partly why he takes such a client-oriented approach to his projects. “I’ll work alongside you to bring your vision to reality, provide help and guidance whenever there’s uncertainty, and will be there from start to finish,” he says.
